Edulia

From Treccani Knowledge.
Education that begins with an "e".

Edulia is a hub for digital education, rooted in the work of the Treccani Institute, a longstanding symbol of Italian culture. It offers ed-tech solutions for schools, teachers, and young people, spreading knowledge, skills, and critical thinking for the modern world through an original, cross-disciplinary, accessible, and certified educational offering.

Brand design An empathetic symbol to nourish the mind

Inarea supported Edulia throughout the entire process of defining its identity system, starting with the creation of the name and logo. “Ĕdūlia” is a Latin word that belongs to the semantic field of nourishment, meaning food, sustenance, and provisions. It shares its root with the word “education,” allowing the name to unite both concepts into a single, evocative image: food for the mind.

Visually, these qualities are emphasized through an anthropomorphic approach, where the typical counter of the “e” is replaced by a dot that seems to be in motion. This detail transforms the letter into a “smiling gaze”, conveying a sense of warmth and approachability.

Naming. The essence of knowledge in a single letter

The naming is paired with a brandmark designed around principles of simplicity and immediacy, in line with Edulia’s mission: to promote accessible and shared knowledge. The brandmark features a lowercase “e”, the initial of both the verbal identity and the visual memory of the brand. It represents an expression of openness and dialogue with the entire user community—a choice that emphasizes action and outcomes, highlighting the personal values that are integral to both teaching and the learning process it fosters. The payoff “from Treccani knowledge” immediately places this new initiative within a prestigious cultural lineage.

Communication design. Visual consistency in digital content

Edulia’s brand language extends into its e-learning tools through “flashes” of the brandmark that, using distinctive color palettes, serve as visual backdrops for its two main areas of activity—Edulia Masterclass and Edulia Treccani Scuola. These become true thematic “canvases,” giving the content an immediate sense of identity and recognizability.
