OPIT – Open Institute of Technology is a new digital academy specialized in computer science, with a strong focus on the job market. International, inclusive, and flexible, the Institute trains future leaders and managers in the digital field. In a highly competitive sector, OPIT stands out: it surpasses online universities in terms of service and educational offering, traditional universities in reputation, and digital platforms in user experience. The sector emphasizes professionalization, with particular attention to accessibility, flexibility, and social impact—core elements of OPIT’s brand proposition.
Brand design for a new positioning
Inarea supported the creation of OPIT by defining its positioning and name, with the goal of presenting the Institute not merely as an online educational offering, but as a high-level learning opportunity that helps students reach—and surpass—their goals. The brand identity aims to reflect this excellence, while also highlighting the international scope of the program and the flexibility of online learning. As a digital-native institution, community plays a central role in its brand representation. The identity design focuses on the letters of the acronym OPIT, composed of circles and orthogonal elements that reference the digits 0 and 1 of the binary system. This symbolic choice, combined with a strong visual language, reflects the brand’s ability to adapt across different communication contexts—from institutional to more informal tones.
Communication and Digital Design For the new digital era of education
While the logo is presented in a clean and elegant style—emphasized by the contrast of black on light backgrounds or white on dark ones—the system is enriched by colorful pictograms that animate the institute’s visual language. These graphic elements, stylized and easily recognizable, enhance communication by improving clarity and readability. The color palette is broad and features vibrant tones, adaptable across multiple applications, conveying the image of a university that positions itself as a game-changer, breaking away from traditional models.
