Fondazione Santa Lucia

Neuroscience and Rehabilitation

Founded in 1960 in Rome, the Santa Lucia IRCCS Foundation is now a national reference point for neuroscience and neurorehabilitation. Recognized by the Ministry of Health as a Scientifically Characterized Hospitalization and Treatment Institute, it develops clinical and research activities in more than 60 laboratories, offering highly specialized care and rehabilitation for severe neurological injuries, degenerative diseases, cognitive and motor deficits.

Brand Identity and Naming: when care and research mean rebirth

The Saint Lucia Foundation is an institution where, through high specialization, personal care and professionalism, a perspective on life can be restored. For this reason, the new identity, the result of an intense path of reflection within the Foundation itself, leverages precisely the concept of rebirth through care and exploits the strong symbolism of the Tree of Life, which with its branches and fruits also recalls axons and synapses. The name of the institution is deliberately exemplified in “Saint Lucia”: that which stands out for its value, does not need so many words. Finally, the phrase “Neuroscience and Rehabilitation” summarizes the vocation and specializations of the Foundation and emphasizes the high dignity of scientific action.
