A new Identity for the engine of the Country

Confindustria is the leading association representing manufacturing and service companies in Italy. More than 150,000 enterprises —small, medium, and large — are members of Confindustria. Its mission is to promote the role of business as a driving force for the country’s economic, social, and civic growth.

Brand architecture and brand design. The eagle gets a new look

With the introduction of regional sections, it became necessary to update Confindustria’s identity and realign its brand system. There was also a need to adapt the Confederation’s new image to the communication tools brought about by the digital era. The restyling carried out by Inarea “modernized” the symbol and introduced a new typeface, making the logo more contemporary. The stylization of Confindustria’s historic eagle—an emblem of strength and independence—was further accentuated, while the old cogwheel was removed, though still subtly referenced in the feather design.

The rebranding initiative has brought new relevance to the historical identity elements traditionally used by the Confederation. Above all, it has made it possible to harmonize and align the many different expressions—both sectoral and regional. In short, Confindustria remains true to its distinctive features, while presenting itself with a renewed sense of unity.
