Bauli

Mother Note

Bauli is one of the most well-known and beloved brands in Italy. The company, with over a century of history, is a benchmark in the world of pastry thanks to its baked goods, made for more than 100 years using the same lievito madre (mother yeast).

It is from this lievito madre that Bauli’s sonic identity is born, designed to strengthen its recent repositioning program: the A at 440 Hz — known as the concert pitch because it harmonizes all other sounds and instruments — becomes the brand’s “mother note,” a sonic representation of its yeast. This note concludes and enhances the sound logo, which features a nod to the iconic “Ba ba ba Bauli” jingle that has defined the brand’s communication for years.

As part of this project, the sound logo and logo animation integrate seamlessly, creating a harmonious dialogue between visual and sonic elements. The logo animation focuses on the dot of the “i” and is amplified by the closing “mother note” of the sound logo, resulting in a memorable signature for a unique identity.
