A sound for Italian tennis: 'From court to court'
Today, Italian tennis has achieved an undeniable position of leadership. Riding the wave of enthusiasm generated by its successes, the Italian Tennis and Padel Federation (FITP) — which manages and promotes racket sports in Italy — has chosen to equip Italian tennis with a true anthem, forming the foundation of its new sonic identity.
The piece, ‘Di campo in campo‘ (“From Court to Court”), highlights the duality that defines tennis, a sport where the player faces two opponents: the first being not the direct adversary, but themselves. Every match offers the chance to surpass one’s limits and achieve new milestones. This spirit is captured in the melody, which alternates between different styles and rhythms to convey the sense of a growth journey.
The lyrics are inspired by a quote from Nelson Mandela: “I never lose. I either win or learn”. It tells the story of the tension and satisfaction that converge in a champion’s journey.
